~Betta Tussyae~Betta tussyae originates from Malaysia were it can be found under the overhanging vegetation at the edges of small streams. They have a deep red colouration
the intensity of which changes with the fish’s mood, the female being slightly less colourful than the male and a light horizontal stripe pattern was noticed on some occasions. ~Betta Raja~Unlike the common siamese fighting fish we buy in the stores most wild types can be kept together in small groups or pairs. They are found in the shady lowland forest swamps in Sumatra Indonesia. Males generally have flatter and broader heads then females. And the males have a caudal spike.
~Betta Foerschi~ Betta Foerschis come from Indonesia;and South- Borneo. They live in in swampy areas close to the riverbanks of a forest streams. Males are thinner than the females, and more colorful The bands on the gill cover are gold in males, and red in females.

Betta Chlorphaynx is a larger breed of betta whoms body reaches the length of 6 inches in adulthood. They come from Banka Indonesia. Males have the attitude of a typical betta and they are not able to be tanked with eachother. Females on the otherhand are very docile and many can share a tank together as long as the size is adequate enough.
~Betta Pi~This species is known from the Pru Toe-Daeng peat swamps in southern Thailand near the border town of Sungai Golok, and its range also extends into Peninsular Malaysia where it’s been collected in the state of Terengganu.
Many of its habitats have been degraded by the activity of man with areas of primary forest removed and replaced with commercial rubber or oil palm plantations. ~Betta Patoti or The Tiger Betta~This large breed beautifully peach colored betta shows off his tiger stripes proudly. As a member of the "wild bettas", they come from Borneo, and the Palau Luat Island in Seasia. They were described as a species in 1992 after the fish was sent to authors by Tissut Van Patot. Unlike betta spendens, they are not as easy to find when saught out by betta lovers and hobbiest but If you are lucky enough to find one, they will cost a pretty penny...and quite a few of them. Both males and females look frustratingly similar, and sexing them can be quite difficult as too, both genders reach the same maximum length of 5 inches. They may be trusted with tank mates, as they aren't very aggressive, but should never be house with smaller "bite sized" fish. So many families of bettas exists, each have one cousin after another... therefore it difficult to catalog, research, and provide complete and accurate information on them all. if you have any questions about any specific Betta in this list OR notice a betta that is missing, PLEASE LET ME KNOW:)
